Lead Trainer/Manager- Sean Muir

Sean has over 10 years in the industry as a Personal Trainer and Club Owner.

Sean was 2004 Townsville City Councils Sportsperson of the Year and the 2004 Australia Day Sportsperson of the Year. In Powerlifting he has represented Australia for 9 years at the World Championships, runners up at the Commonwealth Championships in 2005 (75kg div), Won at the Oceania Championships in 2004 (75kg div) and Won the Australian Championships in 2005 and 2008 (75kg div). His personal best lifts were Squat 255kg, Bench 160kg and Deadlift 275kg. Sean Coached the Austalian Junior Powerlifting team in Bulgaria in 2001 and again in Poland in 2004. Sean was 2004 Townsville City Councils Sportsperson of the Year and the 2004 Australia Day Sportsperson of the Year.

Along with his Cert IV in Fitness, Sean is an acredited Powerlifting coach, and Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach and Certified Kettlebell Trainer. While Sean was in United States, he trained with Anthony Delugio who is a world renowned expert in Kettlebell training. Sean also visited the Functional Training Summit in Long Beach California. The Summit provided some of the most knowlegable speakers and presenters in the world to share training methods and how to apply Functional Movements to maximise training results.

Sharyn Muir

Along with Sean, Sharyn has been in the fitness industry for over 8 years as a Trainer and Club Owner.

In Powerlifting Sharyn has competed in the 52kg class and was Qld no. 1 in 2003. Sharyn is a qualified fitness instructor Cert III studying Cert IV and Advanced Diploma in Fitness. Sharyn too visited the Functional Training Summit in Long Beach California. The Summit provided some of the most knowlegable speakers and presenters in the world to share training methods and how to apply Functional Movements to maximise training results.

Sharyn specialises in Pre and Post Natal training, core strength, she is a Body Combat, Body Pump and RPM Instructor.

Chelsea Tippett

Chelsea came on board from a work experience student and continued her passion with Tropical Bodies as a Personal Trainer through a Traineeship

In a short career in Powerlifting, Chelsea has won the best sub-junior Powerlifter in the womens division at the Australian Sub Jr Powerlifting Championships in Mannum, South Australia in May 2010. She also came second in an international meet at Art of Strength and won the Townsville Open. In the 52kg division Chelsea has accomplished a 75kg Squat 30kg Bench Press and a 85kg Deadlift.All as a 52kg subjr lifter.

Chelsea is undergoing Master Kettlebell Instruction with Lead Trainer Sean Muir and delivers Programs, Orientation sessions and Group Training Faze 1 and 2 Sessions.

Di Fitzsimon

Di is the clubs Exercise Physiologist and has been in the industy with Tropical Bodies for 5 years.

Di has completed her degree in Sport and Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology at JCU Townsville. She is a Cert IV instructor and Qualified Level 1 Powerlifting Coach. Di has a very unintimidating approach to training but applies a compehensively effective training session each and every time.
