Position:  Group Exercise Co-Ordinator

Job Description: 

The Group Exercise Co-ordinator supervises all Group Exercise Instructors, Choreography (Les Mills and In-house) and activities at Tropical Bodies Healthy Life Centre. The Group Exercise Co-ordinator must be certified in Group Exercise Instructor through a nationally recognized organization within the fitness industry and recognised in Australia. 

Duties:

• Must know and adhere to all Tropical Bodies Healthy Life Centre policies, procedures and guidelines.

• Must submit monthly budget requests to Profit Centre/General Manager timely.

• Must attend staff meetings and trainings as requested.

• Must be familiar with and participate in all specials and promotions on services, programs and products at Tropical Bodies Healthy Life Centre

• Training and supervision of fitness professionals--including evaluations, scheduling, and duties.

• Complete weekly action plans for Group Fitness Instructors complete and submit daily action plan to Manager.

• Ensure that equipment is well maintained at all times.  Complete monthly checklist from maintenance manual.  Keep all records of maintenance on the equipment posted in the repair log.

• Assist General Manager in developing and adhering to personal training budget and monthly goals for the profit centre.

• Encourage and motivate members and fitness staff.  Conduct workshops for members pertinent to health and fitness.

• Conduct workshops for members relating to health and fitness.

• Develop internal promotions and member appreciation events such as blood pressure clinics, contents, and tips of the week.

• Must be able to lift a weight load of 20kg.  Lifting, class instruction, training, spotting physical responsibilities are required.

• Supervise bulletin board postings, phase training, programming-- Circulate hand-outs on new equipment, supplements, Add-ins, Shakes, fitness trends.

• Coordinate leagues, challenges or contests within the activities centre.

• Must be in uniform, with nametag at all times.

• Work on membership retention.  Supervise and complete daily program checks, personalization or miss U notes.  Track member use on progress card.

• Maintain physical site--walk through frequently and clean!

• Must be flexible.  Days and hours may vary.

Job Requirements/Compensation: 

Commensurate with experience.  Current CPR and Certificate III necessary.

Hours:  Varies.

Group Fitness Instructor

Do you like being centre stage and leading others toward their fitness dreams?

We require a motivated, energetic, inspiring Group Fitness Instructor to provide an amazing Group Fitness experience to our members. 

To be successful, you must hold a Certificate 3 in Fitness, current First Aid and CPR certifiicate, be confident teaching in front of a group of people and have the abiltity to motiviate others.

Les Mills training in Bodystep and Bodycombat would be favourable.
