Body Composition Analysis at Tropical Bodies

People often use their weight to measure their health - but it is what your weight is made up of that is more important e.g. lean tissue, fat, water etc. By understanding your body's composition (your body's make-up) we can help you make important decisions to determine what direction you need to target your goals to achieve maximum health and fitness benefits.

A body composition test will measure the following:

  • Body fat weight
  • Body fat percentage
  • Target body fat percentage
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Metabolic Rate
  • Lean Weight
  • Lean percentage
  • Water volume
  • Water percentage
  • Target water percentage

Questions & Answers

Q. How is the test performed?

A. After measuring your height and weight - the test is performed with you lying down fully clothed on your back without your shoes on. We will place electro pads on your right hand and right foot. After entering your personal data into the machine a weak electronic current will pass through your body - you won't feel a thing. Your body's resistance to the current is how muscle, water and fat are determined.

Q. How long will it take to have my body composition test done ?

A. Your body composition test will take 20-30 minutes
